Christian Laettner was born on August 17, 1969, in Angolia, New York. He attended Duke University, where he played for the Blue Devils basketball team. Under the guidance of legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski, Laettner quickly became one of the most dominant players in college basketball, leading Duke to two national championships in 1991 and 1992.
